Unsaturated polyester resins – styrene-containing / styrene-free
This is the classic type of reaction resin used to produce 2-component injection mortars, using both unsaturated polyester resins dissolved in styrene (classic resin type) and styrene-free unsaturated polyester resins in which styrene-related monomers act as reactive solvents. The 2-component injection mortars produced from this are very light and can be processed quickly. In addition, unsaturated polyester resins typically have limited chemical resistance (e.g. in alkaline media).
