PA (containing styrene)
This is the classic reactive resin type that is used to produce 2-component injection mortars, using both unsaturated polyester resins dissolved in styrene (classic resin type) and styrene-free unsaturated polyester resins, in which styrene-related monomers act as reactive solvents . The 2-component injection mortars made from it are very light and can be processed quickly. In addition, the unsaturated polyester resins typically have limited chemical resistance (including in an alkaline medium).

This type of reaction resin is a further development of unsaturated polyester resins towards vinyl ester resins, which are formally produced by reacting an epoxy resin with an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid. The two-component injection mortars produced from this have improved physical and chemical properties compared to unsaturated polyester resins.
