reaction resin formulations
All formulations at a glance
Polyester resins (PA/PASF)
containing styrene (PA)
styrene-free (PASF)
This is the classic reaction resin type that is used to produce the 2-component injection mortar, whereby both unsaturated polyester resins dissolved in styrene (classic resin type) and styrene-free unsaturated polyester resins are used, in which styrene-related monomers act as reactive solvents . The 2-component injection mortars produced from this are very light and can be processed quickly. In addition, the unsaturated polyester resins typically have a limited chemical resistance (including in alkaline medium).
- Base: unsaturated polyester resin
- Classic composite mortar system
- Performance: standard
- Ideal for standard applications - especially in masonry and perforated brick
- Universal formulation
- Suitable for use in natural stone (styrene)
Epoxy Acrylate Resins (EA/EASF)
containing styrene (EA)
styrene free (EASF)
This type of reaction resin is a further development of unsaturated polyester resins towards vinyl ester resins, which are formally produced by reacting an epoxy resin with an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid. The two-component injection mortars produced from this have improved physical and chemical properties compared to unsaturated polyester resins.
- Basis: Further development of the polyester composite mortar system
- Performance: higher standard
- Suitable for universal use
- Can also be used for wet drill holes
- Suitable for use in natural stone (styrene)
Vinyl ester resins (V ECO/VK)
styrene free
Classic vinyl ester resins and the 2-component injection mortars made from them combine the good thermal and mechanical properties of epoxy resins with the easy and quick processability of unsaturated polyester resins. These vinyl ester resins of the newer development generation are styrene-free, whereby dimethacrylates are used as reactive solvents. The vinyl ester resins and the reaction resin mortars made from them are characterized, among other things, by a very high chemical resistance, especially in alkaline media.
- Basis: vinyl ester resin, styrene-free
- Styrene Free: Dimethacrylates are used as reaction solvents
- Performance: very high
- Can also be used for damp and water-filled boreholes
- Very good mechanical and thermal properties
- Very high chemical resistance
- Usable in aggressive environments
- Low odor formation
- Also available as a special tropical and winter formulation
- Suitable for seismic actions of requirement level C1
Epoxy resins (Pure Epoxy)
The properties of the 2-component injection mortar produced from them can be optimally adjusted and tailored to specific requirement profiles thanks to the wide range of options when selecting epoxy resins and their hardener components. The cured 2-component epoxy resin injection mortar is characterized by very good thermal and mechanical properties and also has excellent chemical resistance. Shrinkage during hardening is very low and, in conjunction with its good bonding properties, excellent load values are also achieved in diamond-drilled boreholes and even with larger annular gaps
