cartridge technologies

Coaxial cartridge

This type of cartridge consists of a cylindrical outer tube and a cylindrical inner tube within it, so that there are two separate chambers in a "tube-in-tube" arrangement (coaxial) with component A (in the outer tube) and component B (in the inner tube). are filled and each sealed with a piston.

The 2-component cartridge is squeezed out with a special squeeze gun using a static spiral mixer. This special dispensing gun, the dimensions of which are tailored to the diameter and volume of the 2-component cartridge, has a linkage with two thrust plates that is adapted to the coaxial "tube-in-tube" design of the cartridge.

During the squeezing process, the gun rods are simultaneously pushed in the axial direction into the outer and inner tubes of the cartridge, with one push plate pressing on the piston of the outer tube and the second on the piston of the inner tube. In this way, the components A and B in the outer and inner tube are conveyed out of the cartridge at the same time and mixed homogeneously by the static helical mixer screwed onto the cartridge.

Peeler cartridge

The 2-component coaxial cartridge can be processed in a 1-component standard pistol (silicone pistol) using a patented cutting plunger. The cutting plunger in the cartridge is fixed with a clip behind the two pistons.

When squeezing out, the gun thrust plate pushes the cutting ram and the downstream A and B pistons in the axial direction. The cutting ram splits the area of the B pipe that is emptied after the B piston has advanced into two halves. The two halves of the B-tube are guided through the two semicircular openings of the cutting ram on the inner wall of the A-tube so that the ejection process is never impaired or the ejection pressure is increased.

Advantages:

  • Easy processing possible with a standard pistol
  • Correct mixing ratio guaranteed throughout cartridge use

tubular film cartridge

The 2-component tubular film cartridge can be processed like a silicone cartridge in a 1-component standard gun (silicone gun). With this type of cartridge, there is a 2-chamber tubular film with A and B components in a 1-component cartridge.

After screwing on the cap, the clipped tubular film end protrudes from the cartridge neck and is cut open before the cartridge is used.

Advantages:

  • Easy processing possible with a standard gun
  • Low squeezing resistance

Side by side cartridge

This type of cartridge consists of two cylindrical tubes arranged side-by-side, connected to each other and ending in a coaxially designed head piece ("tube-in-tube design"). Component A (A-tube) is in one tube and component B (B-tube) in the second tube; both tubes are closed with respective pistons.

The 2-component cartridge is squeezed out with a special squeeze gun using a static spiral mixer. This special dispensing gun, the dimensions of which are matched to the diameter and volume of the 2-component cartridge, has a linkage that is matched to the parallel, "side-by-side" arrangement of the A and B tubes of the cartridge the ends of which are each thrust plates.

During the squeezing process, the gun rods are pushed in the axial direction simultaneously into both the A and B tubes, whereby the components A and B in the tubes are simultaneously conveyed out of the cartridge and mixed homogeneously by the static helical mixer screwed onto the cartridge become.
